On June 24. 2022. our jaws collectively dropped with the overturning of Roe v. Wade in the U.S. The fear was palpable. It felt personal. It was is personal.
We took inspiration from the Latin American abortion-rights movement. the green wave (or green tide). and the symbolic green bandanas worn by activists and allies. Green symbolized nature. growth. and reclaiming the term pro-life.
In partnership with Niege Borges. a Brazilian artist & illustrator. we created a wearable piece of art representing a collective of?people coming together¡ª ALL BODIES ONE VOICE. ONE VOICE ALL BODIES. A statement that says the same thing no matter how it's read. We're in this together.
