I am a stickler for good quality when it comes to toys. I have learned to not even purchase a toy that doesn't have a 1 year warranty because I go through them so quickly. I have what my husband has deemed the "sex toy graveyard" (consisting primarily of California Exotics products which I will strongly warn against wasting money on). I first bought the Lelo Elise1 simply because I had been debating it and came across a 50% off coupon for a local store making it a mere $100 instead of $200. I was extremely hesitant considering my track record for toy survival. $100 seemed a lot of money to drop on something that was going to die within 30-90 days. But with a 1 year warranty I felt confident I would at least get my money's worth after a return or two. We are now 2.5 years down the road and my Lelo Elise 1 is STILL kicking along just fine (A Hitachi Magic Wand I bought at the same time died about six months ago making the Lelo the longest lasting sex toy I've ever owned...with regular use). But when I saw the Elise 2 boasted "more power" and other improved features, I really did begin to covet it. Spotting the price here on Amazon, I was concerned (especially because of the picture) that this would be the Elise1 and I'd have to fight through a lengthy return process. But it was worth a try. And when it arrived it was, in fact, the Elise2!I couldn't wait to get it charged up and give it a try. I was happy to see it works with my elise1 charger. So I don't have to keep track of both. And once charged it did not disappoint! One of the hazards of "self play" is that it's harder to surprise yourself. Like tickling yourself, masturbation has its drawback in that you know where your hands are going to go and what is going to happen. The spontaneity is lost. But at least one setting on the Elise2 continually surprises me. I don't know if I just can't pick up on the pattern or if it's somehow set to be completely random but it's a very fun and new sensation in a toy. Much better than the standard oscillation most toys have.Some complain about the size of it. But I've always found the Elise to be comfortable for the way I use it. To those who find it too large, I would recommend inserting until it's at a comfortable depth and then leaving it there. Allow the toy to do most of the work. Whether that's setting it on a pulsing sensation or something a little more varied. The bulbous middle and curved tip do make it easy to sort of catch on the pelvis which makes an in and out motion pretty uncomfortable. So I've adopted a rocking motion that I use. Pushing down on the end that is sticking out so that the tip is pressed up against the front wall, massaging my G spot. It's very pleasurable without the discomfort of trying to slide its (not to be ignored) sizable girth in and out.I think this is a wonderful toy. Lelo has outdone themselves! I wondered how they would manage to top the Elise1. And have debated since the release of the 2 whether or not it was worth buying the newer model since the old one is still going strong. But I have to give them their dues. Not many companies can improve a product without ruining some of the very things that made the original great. Lelo has succeeded. A vast improvement over Elise1 without losing what made the original such a favorite in our house. I'm thrilled and can't wait to see what they come up with next!
