It works as long as you don't try it on an area of semi-loose skin. It pinched my upper arm area repeatedly and left tiny little bruises.Also, no instructions on how to turn it into an ice massager. But as there seemed no other course if action, I merely stuck it in the freezer overnight until it was rather cold. But when I used it the never day, the cold lasted a few minutes, tops. It warms to your body temp in mere moments.Save your money for a better one if you want the ice component.It didn’t do what I needed it to do, the ball is very light and weak, Wasn't worth the purchase more than it was.Slides easily across back. Me and hubby have hard jobs that put a lot of where in tear on our muscles. So I started investing and getting massaging products. This one I take to work with us so when we are on our break and somethings really hurting usually on our back this is what we use. it’s very easy to use. Hand held. Sometimes when I have a headache I roll across the temple of my head and it helps.The item is good for the price, it works great and holds the temperature for a good timeI love how lightweight and cute this is. The only bad thing I have to say is it pulls on my baby hairs when I massage my neck. And that hurts lol But for the price I would buy again.DissatisfiedI'm not sure if it's just the one that I received but the ball is actually pretty loose. So when you roll it across a body part, the ball can easily pinch your skin. I've had ones that don't do this (bought somewhere else). Also since the ball is loose it makes a pretty loud noise when used. I don't know but I wouldn't recommend this product. Definitely way overpriced for this item too.The ball gets stuck when you push down, Also does not stay cold long
