I am recovering from shoulder surgery and spending a lot of time in an power adjustable recliner including sleeping at night. I got this to provide some relief to the cushions which are a bit too soft for what I like. This fits well on the recliner and i strop the head piece around the recliner head cushion to keep the unit in place. I have been extremely pleased with this. There are lots of modes and intensities you can choose from and I found settings I like. I like this to the point I use it to fall asleep to in the recliner at night. During the day, it gives my body some relief from sitting too long in the chair. While the intensity of vibrations goes far higher than I personally like, I do wish there was a setting even lower than the bottom of the three intensity levels provided. I use the M5 setting which vibrates all motors at the same time but slowly goes from no vibration to the max vibration setting you can choose. That works for me and gives me a good bit of time at vibration levels lower than the lowest intensity setting. Would I buy this again or recommend it to others --- absolutely yes. I like the way this folds up for easy compact storage for when I recover and don't want to use on a daily basis. It will be easy to store and pull out and toss on the bed or chair for a quick massage. I will comment that I bought this primarily for middle and lower back and it delivers well on that. I suspect if you want something for your neck or head, one might try to reposition the vibration motors higher and put a pillow under the top one to put pressure on you neck. I have not actually tried this.First off, I'm 215, built like a tank and I got this to speed up recovery and break down muscle tissue for my back. The intensity of the massage vibrations isn't as strong as I had hoped, it's like a light massage gun at the lowest setting. That being said I did feel very relaxed while laying on it so I'm going to repurpose it for relaxation purposes instead of recovery for myself. I can imagine falling asleep on this mat.I love how this massage pad fits in my recliner!!!! Perfect fit ! Doesn't slide around ! My only concern is a chirping noise that it makes intermittently but I have a support ticket in to see if it is something to be concerned about . It is brand new so I don't know if it will go away or if it just the way the vibration is reacting in my leather recliner.O.K. BUT VIBRATION IS TO WEAK. IT CUTS OFF AFTER 30 MINUTES. AND IT IS TO LOUD.The mat is just what was needed after 5 back surgeries. The only negative is the heating only with message working at same time.Love that it's not a hard rolling message mat. Just what I wanted. It’s nice, but it’s pretty loud and the auto shutoff happens around 30 min.Following a visit to some high-tech, luxury design store with his parents this past Christmas season, my 6-year-old nephew started obliviously greeting everyone he encountered with "Guess what I want? A $6,000.00 massage chair!"While everyone's initial response was to howl with laughter at the sheer ridiculousness of the request, it became clear that he was genuinely serious when it started appearing in the crayon artwork he would bring home from school and the Lego configurations strewn across his bedroom floor.Despite the unfortunate reality that the one he had his heart set on was never going to be an option, his letter to the North Pole did me in as it was prominently displayed at the top of his list alongside a detailed drawing of himself sitting in the chair. At this point, I was determined to find a suitable alternative but by the time I discovered this, it was too late for it to be received in time for Christmas. After accepting that his dream was not to be, he slowly moved on and stopped talking about it.With the arrival of his Birthday a full month later, I seized the opportunity to truly surprise him following all those weeks of giddy anticipation that ended in such a letdown. I was a little worried that he would be disappointed since it wasn't the coveted designer chair, however, once I explained that he could use it in different places like his bed, the couch in the living room, or the recliner in the TV room he was completely sold.We initially set it up on a bed and he climbed in waiting to see how it worked. The attached remote control has numerous settings and allows for a wide variety of targeted options to satisfy individual preferences - he had this mastered in seconds. The look on his face once it was switched on was priceless - it was absolute euphoria. His eyes actually rolled back as he let out a deep sigh and said: "oh, yeah… this really helps me unwind". I actually had to turn away to conceal my laughter as I watched this little boy morph into an old man!Soon, a line started forming as everyone took a turn with all the adults unanimously agreeing that they were wrong in their earlier mockery of his obsession with the massage chair. Three of those present have gone on to purchase a Snailax massage mat of their own; two of them struggle with pain management issues resulting from both an auto accident and a sports injury. They both strongly agreed that it did provide them with some relief from stiffness and difficulty getting comfortable in bed when trying to fall asleep. Of note, no matter which program you select, the mat automatically shuts down after 30 minutes. You can immediately restart it if you like, but this feature works well for purposes of a sleep aid.It comes in a functional box that doubles as a storage container and features a convenient carrying handle. A detailed user’s manual is included along with a certificate for a free two-year warranty. After a brief email exchange with the Snailax Customer Service Representative, my Nephew was all set and he proudly carried his new treasure to the car in its suitcase-like presentation box.It is now a fixture on my sister's living room sofa and receives daily use as my nephew insists it is the perfect spot for him to quickly relax and recuperate after walking in the front door following a grueling day spent in first grade.Hands down the best money I have EVER spent on a gift, period!Took with me to the beach bc I’m spoiled to falling asleep to the vibrations of an adjustable bed base. Soothes anxiety. It was comfortable to lay on with sheet over top and did the trick! Hope it lasts. I’ll update if it doesn’t. So far it’s great! This felt quite nice! I got it from Prime Day so was fortunate to get $20 off.The material and overall feel of the pad is good. The massage is more of a vibration, so if you are looking for kneading or something more intense, I maybe would not recommend this. Otherwise, it is great to sleep on (has a 30-minute auto shutoff) and warms up (not too hot but a comfortable temperature). There are four different spots for vibration (neck, back, lumbar, and legs), and you can rotate them based on different modes. My only concern would be that I had hoped the cover was removable so I could wash it. Otherwise, if what I had wrote is what you are looking for - I would recommend! Merci encore. This one is a bit tricky to review as it did not work for me. I am going through a period of painful knots all through my back along with a damaged shoulder so I'm trying just about anything to make the pain go away. Percussion massage I've now learned is not for me. If anything it made things worse. Not really fair to blame the massage mat for that since any other competing product that uses percussion would have the same issue. I canvsay that it was a piece of cake to set up and it did have decent coverage over my body it didn't get too hot so I wouldn't use it as a heating pad. I don't think it would even match the low setting on my heating pad but it might. In the end I returned it and had no trouble at all with the return process.Wow this mat does exactly with it is suppose to do. That is a nice change to find. I am a senior with arthritis in my shoulder, knee , ankle and hand and I am always cold even in the summer. Sitting on the chair in my recliner I can feel the heat and massage going through my body and find it very warm and comforting. Seven out of the 10 times of use, I fall into a little sleep. This is a product that I will use every day not will not be going out looking for the heated massage chair now.No need to do that I have a portable massage that can follow me anywhere.
