Let's be clear. You're probably looking at this item already knowing at least part of the group responsible. You're probably familiar with the work of Primus and see this as an offshoot. More than likely you have a preconceived notion in your head of what Primus would sound like without Les Claypool. Ok, now forget all about that. This album sounds NOTHING LIKE PRIMUS. This isn't a bad thing, though I wouldn't say that's a good thing either. Just how it is. If you're looking for something that's like Primus, but isn't Primus, look elsewhere. I'd recommend the work of Mike Patton, particularly Mr. Bungle. You'll enjoy that.If you're still interested, I'll put it to you this way. I haven't heard music like this anywhere else. The closest I think I can compare it to that Primus fans would get is Buckethead's work with ExtraKD.Overall, it's weird, it's different, and it's enjoyable. That's really what matters. I'd recommend it to anybody with an open mind who is interested in hearing something off the beaten path from a few good friends.
